has anyone experienced grease getting on the front engine cover? i thought it was coming from front wheel seals, so i had them changed during the winter but now its appeared again. then thinking more on it, if it was coming from wheel seals, i would think the calipers would have it on them, but not a sign of any grease.

Picture? Says a thousand words…..my guess would be road contamination thrown up by the front wheel. There’s no reason for grease be there really.

If you ride over a hot soft tar snake it will swirl around all over that breast plate. Gasoline on a cotton cloth will remove it.

yes thanks folks. i suspect it is from the road, and i checked out the fork stem bearings also, and there is a little grease there, but not much.
