Just in case anyone was wondering what hand guards are an excellent option: Memphis Shades: MEB7217
These hand guards fit perfectly without any modifications. This part number has both equal size/length mounting brackets for throttle and clutch sides. They seem very well made with good electrocoated aluminum brackets, hardware and thick Lucite acrylic. I have not had a chance to ride the bike with them yet as I am expecting delivery of my Helibars tomorrow. Once I get a chance to give them a good ride I will report back.

Update: Helibars installed with the Memphis Shades hand guards in place. Was able to go on a 300 mile test ride. Mostly 70 MPH highway ride through the Gorge on I-84 here in Oregon. It was a fairly windy day. They absolutely made a discernible difference in keeping the back of my hands from getting uncomfortably cold. I did not have my heated grips on during any of this ride. Just for reference with the Helibars installed the height of my hands controls is now above the fairing.
