Handlebars on Ali Express - Roctane

Anyone get these marketed to you in your feed. They actually look good to me, and description says they will fit my Roctane

I buy lots of ‘cosmetic’ stuff from Aliexpress for my motorcycle, but I wouldn’t be fitting anything that could alter my ride time on my motorcycle to ride time in a wheelchair (ie; levers, footpegs/boards, brake hardware, handlebars, etc).
They are very cheap in comparison for a reason. I’m a huge AE fan, but I would not buy them.

As per Hunts I personally would stay clear of these. I have had an Ali clutch lever snap just in use as I thought I was saving money, lucky it wasn’t the brake lever. These bars look dubious for a few reasons to me in no order but as follows.

The description describes them as “metal steel” - nothing as to quality standard or strength etc. Looking at the pictures they look as if they are assembled from five peaces maybe nine - so extra risk of failure on substandard welding or worse if just press fit. The holes for wiring look as if they are stamped and seem too large for the width potentially weakening the bar. Some of the pictures show dubious alignment etc. The link sent shows £206 but related items has a similar bar for £58 !!!! Internal wiring also requires careful bar assembly to make sure no sharp edges remain inside the bar to wear through the internal cables and short out, this costs time and hence cost of the unit should be a lot higher.
All my personal view and not meant in anyway as criticism, as initially they do look like some of the Harley bars I have had in the past, but the risk of failure on a bar when braking is not worth thinking about and the above is enough for me to avoid.

Nothing I have purchased for the R18 from Ali Express has been successfully fitted and I ended up just hanging stuff against the wall, and to try return something wrongfully supplied is a nightmare as you cannot speak to anyone ( chat bot told me my incorrect cyl head guard is actually for a Harley Davidson, case closed, now sitting with a guard for a TC instead of the plain R) decided no more from A E.

Thank you for the feedback, I had them in my shopping care and now got rid of them. It's too bad, cool looking. I cannot seem to find any handlebars to my liking for the Roctane. As the song says, if ya cant be with the one you love, love the one your with. I love the bike otherwise, but the lack of aftermarket products is disapointing, and I do not see that getting better since the bike sells in such low numbers.

Why can’t you get similar style handlebars off a reputable handlebar company? If they will fit a Harley or Indian, why not an R18. Isn’t it simply diameter?

Most of the products for Harleys are 1" diameter and the R18 is 7/8". I cannot find anyone that has handlebars with that particular diameter that are to my liking. If someone knows of one, I'm all ears. What I find is usually the problem is the width. I am a wide load and my natural position usually requires 35" or wider handlebars.

It's fine at the clamp at 1", it's where the hand controls slide on. BMW's are 7/8", and that seems hard to find. Maybe I am not looking hard enought

Doh, that makes sense. Having a look at some compatibility charts it appears some of the 21 to 25 Harley Sportsters had 7/8 grip diameter like the attached link bars. They have a 1 inch clamp diameter but as you know that is easier to fix. Some of the Indian bikes also had similar I understand. You may have better luck searching for bars for those bikes than the R18.
