Have and of you experienced trouble installing Brentune's web based software?

Got my bike's first service completed. Last night I began the process of performing the Brentune on my 18. Per their instructional video, I went to their website, resources, mfg, bike, download hand held software, extract the file, install the file, open the application and this is what I get.

I have done this like four times. What I get does not mirror what BT's instructional video illustrates.


This is as far as I can get.

Any ideas?

That looks pretty much as I had. The first thing is to update your reader. Took a matter of minutes. Maybe ten or 15 if I remember correctly.

I tried updating and it kept saying it had problems, and then would contradict itself and say it was updated successfully. Tried this like 4 times...??

I think I tried two or three times using windows 11. If feels a bit clonky but it eventually worked. I aborted once or twice before having success. Like you, I was beginning to think I might be one of the unlucky few who had problems and needed guidance from the manufacturer but all done now. Main improvement is definitely a smoother ride with less vibration.

Incidently I was instructed by BT by email to forget about updating and to just grab the file from my bike. Of course I cannot do that wout their software properly installed. Btw, I am using Windows 10pro.

Wish I could help more. Definitely the weakest part of the whole set up. I wish I had videoed my experience with the pc process as not completely smooth. Uploading and downloading the file to the bike was seamless. Keep the faith, take a break and try again.

I have a few issues and BT suggested I disable any anti-virus software. I did and everything worked .

I try updating after turning Window's firewall off and I continually get this contradiction:

Again, that looks familiar. Have you shut down and restarted to see if the genius homescreen now offers you the other options shown above 'Update'?

Questionaire completed and sent off to BT. Now I am waiting for the tune. I will be sure to post the entire experience after the bike is tuned.
