Hello from Belgium

hello from Belgium, 40+ male and roughly 20 years of riding. Lots of bikes past in those years. Bmw wise a 1200gsa that I enjoyed for years and then a s1000rr that I only had for 6 months as it just didnt fit my commuting needs.

2-3 times a week, 100km single distance and mainly highway and lane splitting/traffic jammer traffic.

So out with that beauty and ordering a R18 to my liking. Really like the r18 so far. Some changes with the akra exhausts, all blacked out, big RSD wheels, walzwerk front fender and handles, minimalistic blinkers front and back.

Had a fairly big crash after just 500km (wet/dark and oil in a corner) and went down at 90 km/hour and can vouch for the strength of the monster and the default cylinder covers.

Still in dubio between backpack and full bobber conversion or keep using the small saddlebag (BMW Oem). Will keep it for the coming year as it is now and see how it evolves.

Just keep missing the braking power of the s1000rr or even the GSA before. For lane splitting and traffic jam riding that is something I do plan to see how to improve still.

Thanks for the wide body of content and wisdom on this forum, promise to focus on search myself ;) but feel free to ask me anything I can help with.
