Just picked up the R18 that I had in winter storage--enjoying every minute of it. Always looking for someone to ride with, especially anyone with one of the older R bikes.

Very long winter in Chicago ?!!!!

It was a crappy spring--one day it would be 80 and the next it would be 36. Rain on the hot days and sun on the cold days. I just left the bike in storage until there was some weather consistency and no mud.

Took the bike down to Chicago for lunch yesterday and met a friend at Cafe Con Leche. Excellent food and a nice little parking lot in the back which made it easy to park the Mastodon. All the construction was crap; however, I was lucky and just missed the fresh-oil-on-road mess.

Gotta keep the baby immaculate!

Hello, I'm from just outside Urbana, IL on I-74. I love to ride the twisties over in Indiana.
If any of you BMW R18 riders want to come down some Saturday morning we can ride Route 32 over to
Steam Corner and then on down to the famous 36 Saloon in Rockville and have a meal together.
I'm on a R18 Classic.
