Last week was my 60th and decided on a change of pace. So, traded my R 1200 GS and got an R 18 Classic.

Nothing but praise for the 2018 R 1200 GS Rallye, it took me thru 29K miles over 5 years of which 5K were off road MABDR (and the likes of it) all along the east coast. BMW's service was exceptional and this bike had new spokes wheels fitted (back when that service bulletin came out) and just recently a new driveshaft. This commitment to safety is what prompted me to consider the R18 Heritage line along with H-D. The R18 Classic compares very well with the H-D Softail Heritage Classic, with more tech: dual front disks, traction control, ride modes which the later lacks. The big difference I noticed is the fit and luckily for me (short) the R18 fits me perfectly out of the box. Looking forward to 'localish' rides with my sweetheart and close friends, some of which ride Harley-Davidson.
