For those of you who do your own service, what is the best tool to buy to reset the service prompt? And how difficult is this?

There’s plenty of detail on this topic already, and ‘how to’, just do a search. I will get into it properly next year when my warranty expires (this summer).

When I looked into it a year or so ago I ended up getting one of these..
From Amazon.... and then downloaded the app (motoscan... about $50) and paid for the pro license that allows you to do most things on BMW bikes.... I use it on my R18 and r ninet. I am a old man that can't remember how to use it exactly every 6 months when I go to use it agian... but I fumble through it in 5 minutes without looking anything up or reading anything.... so I guess it is easy enough.
