Liquid Moly oil additives

I’m using the liquid Moly 15-50 full synthetic in my R18B . I see that they have an oil additive that you can add at anytime to they claim improve performance. and gas mileage and also quiet down the little ticks and noises in the gear train. Has anyone used this ? Or are you using something else that’s proven in these Boxer engines? I was thinking of switching to a 20-50 full synthetic like amsoil or royal purple .

Many years ago, I went down the rabbit hole of oils and fuel additives, etc on my M109R. I tried ceratec once and that seemed to make the bike run smoother, especially the gear changes. When I changed the oil again, I did not have ceratec at home so I just did the normal oil and filter change and tbh, I have not tried it again. It may have been a confirmation bias since I did a lot of research before adding the ceratec. Obviously I did not hurt the engine since I kept the bike for 15 years and never had any issues. I am a big fan of LM and I use many of their products on my boat engine but have not use them on my R18B or my car.

What motor brand and weight do you use in your R18 ?

Right now I have the BMW oil but will eventually switch to Mobil1 15w-50. Have used this in all my boxer engines.

Same, I have the 5 years service pack so Motorrad does my services. I have used Mobil 1 in the past, can’t remember the weight and the first thing I noticed was that the clunk that bike used to have when engaging 1st gear disappeared.

Installed 8oz of liquid moly to the crankcase . Ran for 15 minutes every 2 hrs couple of cycles . Difference in the ticking at idle. . Seems to be a little bit quieter . Going on a 500 mile ride soon. . Will report back then.

Report Back 500 miles . Save your money. Just keep a good quality oil and change it on a regular basis. What I paid for this would have bought 2oil filters
