2023 100 year R18
Hey Guys,

I have a 100 year edition with standard shifter and pegs. I’m considering converting to floorboards and heel-toe shifting if I can find a kit that includes the works or if I can become educated on what parts I can buy separately that will all work together for this. Go easy on me because I’m new to R18s and mods in general.

All that said, another question I have is will I lose any lean angle with floorboards?

Any info and guidance from the R18 gurus here is appreciated.

Cheers!

EDIT: Dealer quoted me $1725 plus an hour of labor for a conversion to floorboards and heel toe shifter. That's pretty insane in my opinion.

Any reason I can't buy what's in my AliExpress wishlist (see pic) and do the work myself? I'm not trying to be harsh toward the dealer and I do realize the AliExpress stuff is probably made in China. I just want to know what my options are. IMG_3592.webp

BMW offers a floor board kit, which also includes a kickstand which also needs to be swapped. I've also seen a kit which looks like it's a Roland Sands Design, which is in a black color vs the First Edition chrome finish.

I recently swapped foot pegs and kickstand with a forum member who had floorboards on his R18 and wanted foot pegs; the swap went smooth and looks good.

I've seen Floorboard kits for sale on eBay for around $1,300; Max BMW estimated it would cost close to $2K to convert from pegs to floorboards.

The kit that is offered as a Roland Sands Design looks pretty good; you will want a kit which includes a kickstand.

Do you have a link to the RSD kit? I can't find it on their site.

Reach out to Adam at Cycle Werks; he has the two tone and machined floorboard kits; the Kick Stand will be an additional $400+ if you go that route.

eBay link below:

You know Adam over there? I bought one of the custom builds they offered. He took good care of me with purchase, even gave me a hat.

No, not personally; however, Adam and I have traded a couple of emails back and forth, as he has some of the Walz Werks stuff that I'm using on my FE build project.

Seems like a good dude.. my purchases all went very smooth..
