I've made my point of how much better the bike runs through my experience, so I'll leave it there.Point in case of the mufflers being that there is no nééd to do a retune. The stock program is very flexible in maintaining the mixture within set parameters as the Roland Sands tests illustrate. In the article(s) it was mentioned that they got the 107 hp with stock ECU.
Whether in the sense of running ´better´ the R18 benefits from a retune or not is an entirely different issue.
No doubt the ECU will do it's best to tune to the euro 5 based installed maps as best it can after the exhaust and intake type mods. I was super surprised on one of the bikes how much midrange torque there was after the tune..... bike was running fine before so I must of got use to the loss of midrange performance after the changes, noise was good though. Peak hp on the R18 is a day to day irrevalent thing in my opinion though..... so a poor measure of bike engine usable performance.
