New R18 Roctane Owner

I'm up here in NH and we'll known at the local BMW dealership. I'm 33 and have had my fair share of BMW Motorcycles (5 total). When I got this new Roctane. It didn't come with a battery tender hookup so I installed one last night and found some tapes up wires. Didn't know if anyone would know what they are for? Or if anyone had a wiring diagram. Also the back pegs have mounting holes and was wondering what they are for. As for now the bike is sitting in storage until it warms up again, but will be installing J&H exhaust in the next month or so. I would love to try getting the brake lights to flash when I press the brakes pedal. I have this on all other bikes, but this one doesn't have a designated brake light, it has two turn signals. I will be trying to find a way to do this next.

Welcome and congratulations on the new ride..

The ROCTANE, as well as the entire R18 line-up has a battery tender socket, which is located just below the Reverse lever...

I wonder if your Reverse module has been "disabled"; if not and if you hurry, there's a $1,000 compensation credit for R18 Accessories when BMW disables the reverse function.

The two holes on the right side rear foot peg, might be for a drive shaft guard? See the below image, is that what you are asking about?

Thanks for the photo I didnt even know this was an option seeing that I might be doing a solo seat on this, I will not be doing this add on. (kinda strange how it doesnt come with it seeing that seams like a safefy thing). I didnt get the reverse option seeing that this was the only roctane around. So I wont be able to get that $1000 off. Seeing that I picked the bike up for $17k I think Im ok with that.

I am guessing now that you said something about the reverse gear I am sure that the wires go to that. Just seemed strange that they are just taped off.

I thought all R18 models had Reverse as standard..

I just got this baby! Drove it home in 35 degrees nice and cool first ride. In the spring I am going to get it wrapped in this orange (already having it quoted out). Its going to be sexy for sure.

Are you ordering the J & H exhaust in the smoked chrome finish..?

I ordered the blacked out (smoked chrome, black slash cut tips, and black header cover) My goal is to have all blacked out with an orange paint finish. I got the from Wunderlich. Last week they were on sale and about $700 less than the actual J&H site.

Connect battery tender alligator clips to the stock positive (+) and negative (-) attach points on Roctane... the + is just in front of the right side panel (no need to remove panel), the - is under right side cylinder head. See yellow circled areas in attached picture.

Thanks for this photo. I have hard wired now, so no need for that anymore. All my other bikes have it as well so this makes is seamless for me.
