Anyone use the KN-164 filter. I 'think' it's the correct replacement? it has a 17mm welded hex nut can be used for quick and easy filter removal.

Mahle is the current OEM supplier and I've used them sourced from dealers as well as from on line. HiFlo used to be BMW's vendor and I've used them for years too. I have not used knfilters for any of my vehicles, but if it meets spec as to the internals I guess having the ease of access with the 17mm nut addition should make it another good option. Not to argue pro/con for any of them, but I'm picky as there are often huge differences in the internal construction between filters even though they are a name brand and fit properly.
