R 18 Classic (Rear) Passenger footrests / footpegs

Just received, not yet installed.
I've been looking hard for an economical (rear) passenger footrests / footpegs to replace the stock and "way too classic" ones, and although I like the design of the Wunderlich lowered footpegs offering, I cannot get me to pull the trigger on these even though I admire and have some of their products on my R 18 Classic.

So I kept searching for an economical alternative and finding an R 18 Classic specific one turned out to be an adventure. Finally I found these, and plan to install them sometime during the week. The price made it an easy decision. Let's see how it turns out.

You are going to need a 3/8" stainless steel washer to eliminate a bit of play.
I also used a bit of marine grease to smooth things about.

I did similar with the driver footpegs. Picked up a cheapo set of pegs originally for a HD sportster. They lack the spring pocket and like you, I had to shim with a few hard plastic or Teflon washers. Not the greatest in terms of quality but it did raise the pegs enough that I now rub the engine guard before the pegs hit the ground.
