R18 TC Wonder Wheel not working

The side to side function of the wonder wheel is working, but the up/down roller function has stopped functioning, so can't access vehicle settings like heating or lights!

Any ideas? anyone had similar issues etc etc?

Any chance, have you done any upgrades which required messing around with the controls or associated wiring?

You can try reviewing the Model B/TC handlebar installation document and see if it is something that you are comfortable tackling.

There two separate connectors that tie into the clutch control tree; perhaps, one of the connectors became lose or backed out?

I'd start there.. or trace the control cable down and see if the wire harness is damaged anywhere along the length of the cable.

Definitely update the forum with the root cause and fix, once you figure it out.. or as I like to say.. " get errr unfaaa..ked"

Sold a kidney and bought a replacement and all is well with the world.

What was the cost for the replacement control cluster?

Any evidence or ideas as to what actually failed within the wonder wheel?

They're typically or historically pretty reliable, at least that's been my experience based on a 2008 GS Adventure with almost 97,000 miles on the odometer..

£220.00 fitted, have the old part and nothing obvious to my simple eyes, on my 4th BMW all others have been fine, so I guess I can't complain too much.

All is well in the Wonderwheel World again.
