R18B LED turn signals

Hello folks,

The slippery slope of modification on the R18B begins...

I wanted to seek your collective knowledge on LED front turn signals and knowing what might fit. Looking for a more discreet yet bright LED option.

I am aware BMW do a set of similar small LED turn signals https://bmw.europe-moto.com/gb/ligh...black-led-front-turn-signal-set-r18b-k35.html but wondering if those MotoGadgets will work?

I'd recommend staying with the BMW OEM Mini-directional LED, for the single reason of; the OEM lights will mate up perfectly with the mounting bracket for the R18 B, which is a plastic cosmetic ring on the front shocks.

Search the forum, there's lots of pictures and examples on this very topic; there's a forum member that posted pictures of the Mini-LED lights on his Bagger, with newly installed TC Winglets. He went with the Mini-LED to avoid the contact between the Winglets and the Stock OEM model B directionals.

I think the Mini-LED will meet your initial requirements; they look good and appear bright.

Saw that Scott - It was Adam's bike I believe. Was curious on the MotoGadget ones given they are more cost effective, however agree that fitment is key and if the job is made easier and the finish is factory, likely it is worth the cash.

@Scott Semone was there an install guide anywhere on the BMW OEM Mini-directional LED or are the instructions good enough to follow if you are of sound mind?

The installation is very straightforward and well detailed; it just requires patiences as it requires taking the fairing apart (if following the installation document to the word).

One can certainly use the existing wiring and splice it; however, that would NOT be my preferred route or recommendation.

These are the instructions for installing the MotoGadget lights on the R-18 Classic https://r18forums.com/threads/motogadget-m-blaze-pin-on-r18-classic.620/ that I put together. I would expect the lights to be easier to install on the bagger since the assembly for the directional light of the Bagger aren't holding up the large auxilary lights like the Classic. If it were me I wouldn't splice the wiring. It's possible to get connectors that will work without splicing.
