R18C will not idle, dies after hot start

After several hours of riding, the bike (sometimes) will die after a hot restart. Usually will run after several attempts. Typically the ambient temps are above 90 degrees.

Any error codes, recent modifications, DIY maintenance or perhaps you filled the bike with bad fuel?

Vapor lock in the tank is a good possibility. Take the cap off and put it back on. See if your problem goes away.

Sounds like a typical problem when the fuel injectors and lines sit over a hot engine and vapor forms in the lines etc. Next time when you go to start the bike when hot - bump the starter button for a fraction of a second and wait a couple of seconds before starting - this should cause the fuel pump to start and pressurize the system prior to starting. That should prevent the engine from stalling.
