Rear footrests

2023 R18 100 year anniversary edition
I want to remove the rear footrests. The left side no problem. The ride side I noticed that the drive shaft protection piece and foot rest mount is all one piece. I kinda like the idea of that rear protection bracket...although I haven't worn bell bottoms in many decades
to get caught in there!! Any ideas? Does anyone know of an aftermarket bracket that can go there without the footrest mount?
