My Motorrad dealer has emailed to say that they’ve had the recall notice for the fix, have ordered in the parts & will let me know when they have them. Watch this space!

The pair ...Each or pair?
Nothing exciting. Risers, fork end caps and a fuel cap.
You do know work is a 4 letter word. Those fork end caps look like a bit of work to add!
Dumbass mechanics... They just don't care.. probably complain to the shop owner that they should be able to "work" from home two days a week...Hip hip hooray!
The reverse is back, the fix is done!
In the process something happened to the holder of the obd connector,
when I arrived at home (50 km) the connector was laying on the final drive shaft.
I managed to put the connector back in position, but the holder just disappeared ...
for now I think few tie wraps can do the job.
Sheesh. Now go kick your dog.Dumbass mechanics... They just don't care.. probably complain to the shop owner that they should be able to "work" from home two days a week...
Makes sense... Why would they compensate you if they have an available fix..?I just scheduled the recall for the reverse but the service tech said that the $1000 accessory compensation was over in December. Is this true? can anyone verify?
Believe I saw and/or heard that work had to be booked by Jan 31 to take advantage of the deal in the US.I just scheduled the recall for the reverse but the service tech said that the $1000 accessory compensation was over in December. Is this true? can anyone verify?
True, except they are saying that there is no fix and that they will disconnect. I don't know, may be when I actually bring the bike in they'll know there is a fix?Believe I saw and/or heard that work had to be booked by Jan 31 to take advantage of the deal in the US.
To be honest, they call it a fix, then reactivate the reverse,True, except they are saying that there is no fix and that they will disconnect. I don't know, may be when I actually bring the bike in they'll know there is a fix?
That is what I was just told as well.Believe I saw and/or heard that work had to be booked by Jan 31 to take advantage of the deal in the US.
US dealers haven’t been told anything about the permanent fix directly from BMW USA yet, so it’s likely we know more than they do. As of now, and until they get the updated bulletin, the recall work is to disconnect the module. The real fix replaces “something” (not sure what) that needs to be ordered from BMW. They’re rolling it across Europe now. I expect maybe a month before US dealers see something and can start ordering the kits for us.True, except they are saying that there is no fix and that they will disconnect. I don't know, may be when I actually bring the bike in they'll know there is a fix?
