Removing tank badges

This is the badge I ordered and was hoping to get, but back a month or 2 ago when I inquired on their status was told they had not got around to my order since most customers order the gold ones

Yep, mine just came off. Easy peasy. Here’s a note. I’m not that anal retentive and one of my friends realized I hadn’t aligned the slots on the screws to match on each side. I fixed it :-0

I love this! Where’d you land? Horizontal? Vertical? Please tell me you got out a protractor to set them at some exact degree!

I actually aligned mine as well when I was fitting my roundels. Not because I am a**l or anything like it, it was just pure proper finishing. If you present the screws in the desired end position, you just tighten them up and 9 out of 10 they will land on the same orientation. 😉
 
I'm not sure if anyone has already commented on this installation method... I installed my badges that were included in the FE Box, on top of the existing tank badges - I didn't even try removing the original badges..

They still list them on their website as being made from brass, aluminum or titanium. Although they have crossed out the titanium.
But what I got was chrome plated steel.
A bit of bait and switch going on, so you are better off with the refund.
 
yeah I could have powder coated the steel ones if I got them and not been upset.... But I guess I will just have to stick with what I have. I was looking forward to using the extra for the breast plate for wall art

Here they are back from powder coating.
I’m experimenting with some black enamel now as I’m considering filling in the recessed parts of the propeller with black.
