Reverse Recall Accessories Credit - What to get with $1000

Yes.. I discovered this during the restoration of the Reverse Recall work (I actually didn't need to remove it - but was following directions from another item's installation document..)

Yea I thought maybe aluminum. But I think you are right. They are very rigid.
 
Do I need to email BMW directly to receive a credit towards accessories? I had my reverse disabled when the bike was at the dealership for headlight recall replacement. The reverse was disabled for more than 3 months before it finally got fixed. When the dealer originally told me about the reverse recall it was the service writer himself who informed me of the accessory credit. Then when the problem was actually remedied he said my VIN did not qualify? Anybody else have this happen? Should I send an email and if so where to? Thanks!
