Are the Roland Sands Accessories still on sale in the US? I'm seeing conflicting information online.

Some people tell me they're sold out.
 
I believe they are gone. Even my dealership was unable to fulfill all my RSD parts order for the Reverse Recall compensation (which I'm still pissed about). A few months ago I did stumble across a pair of RSD brake & clutch reservoir covers, in black, from a dealership. I'll look it up and post it here but I'm fairly certain they are out of stock now.

I'm thinking there isn't any compensation, as you are not required to operate your bike without the reverse functionality, as the fix and required parts are readily available...

A lot of us had the Reverse module disconnected and had to wait a couple of months for the parts to arrive, in order to restore the reverse functionality..
 
There are tons of available accessories even if they stopped making them. $800 for those valve covers (the only piece I really want) is just insane and I ain’t paying it. I saw a TC at a hot dog stand here in Ohio with them… I thought “to heck with the brotherhood of cycling.. he’ll like my first edition chrome covers anyway :-)” Kidding… but I love those valve covers

In Australia they exceed $1200!!!
 
theres some deals in Europe, upto 50% in many cases. i just got the RSD levers (cloth/ brake) in black for £135plus the headlight cover for £160 which is huge discount. Only thing is as the UK is not in the EU you may or may not get hit with import duty and VAT.

Have a look at the official Accessories Stage in the UK, I have found RSD kit at less than EU prices. One of the headlight covers is at £108 this morning. I regularly check as the prices seem to be very fluid.

I didn’t realise there was an official site , when I’ve searched it’s always the DE sites. Thought it was dealer led in the UK. Can you supply the link please. This will be really annoying as I’ve just ordered several pieces from Germany! Cheers

It is dealer managed but this is the official price that the dealers should use. Mine certainly does. You cannot order from here but you can get the latest prices etc. I ordered the front engine trim for mine at £81. When I called the dealer he said “blimey that’s just dropped”. Worth keeping an eye on. Just choose your model and it lists what is available. Remember the price as I have seen changes daily so could easily have been what you paid yesterday.

As you are in the UK, My questions are (1) would the combination rear indicators fit my Australian model as they are plug and play? (2) do I pay extra taxes apart from the cost of the product and postage (3) who should I use for postage (4) am I better off paying the money to someone in the UK to buy them for me and send them over?

Morning,
1. I have tried looking on RealOem but that list only EU and USA variants, MaxBMW may show AUS listings I have never tried it. I was trying to check part numbers to clarify as if they are the same you have an easy answer. If you get hold of an existing part number and compare it with the EU part number for a standard indicator you should be able to check basic compatibility.
2. I do not know what your Country and State import taxes are, a quick look on Google suggests nothing if below 1k AUS. The UK charges an import fee as well as 20% VAT which makes a good price not so good if we import. Your taxes do not appear that bad but you would need to check that locally.
3&4 I had a look on the dealers website I use and under terms etc they state the payees card would do any currency conversion charge so that suggests they could ship internationally. In your position I would call a dealer like Bahnstormer or Oxford Motorrad and see what they say. BMW may have shipping rules. At times we use a couple of large sites in Europe that do ship. They often have good deals and the indicators seem to be half of the UK price this morning.

In summary if your indicators are the same as the EU ones at present I would order from the website above or equivalent as it would be the most cost effective route , that would give you shipping cover etc.
