Need Help Seat option and lights

R18 Roctane
Hi everyone! I have got a Roctane for a few months, love it but I think some parts need to be upgraded, but I got no clue how to get them finished.

1. The seat makes me significantly uncomfortable after more than one hour's ride, will there be great improvement if I change it into Day Rider or Weekender? I see Day rider is an option on BMWMOTORAD website, I need to know if weekender is possible to be mounted.

2. I also want to know if the two small lights on R18 CLASSIC are possible to be mounted on Roctane. I like the original look of them and try to make my Roctane more stylish.

I really appreciate the answers.

I think the seat for the Roctane is the same piece the Bagger has but I did not look into changing it for another BMW or an aftermarket version of it. Instead I have commissioned an upgrade from a seat maker in the UK to have the factory foam replaced my medical grade gel for the driver side and memory foam for the pillion passenger side. The vinyl on the whole seat will be replaced with real leather and Alcantara for the rider side. Apart from customising the seat appearance, the medical gel will provide a more comfortable seat.

On the driving lights side of things, Scott Semone has adapted the driving lights from the TC to his Bagger if this is what you’re looking to do.
 
A couple of us have posted the required parts in order to add the Auxiliary Lights on the R18 Model B; perhaps, go to a dealership and look how it attached to the TC or Classic and see if your triple tree can accommodate the Auxiliary Light - Directional Blinkers bracket.

I had to add a Bracket with the associated hardware screw(s) and such; there might be wiring already in place, or you might need to come up with something.

Try searching "Auxiliary Lights" on the forum, perhaps someone already posted ROCTANE project.

I've noticed that the seat on Roctane is different from other R18 seats. Customizing the original seat is an option, but I want it remain weather proof. The seat maker I can get to can't guarantee this.

I'll try to find his threads. Theoretically it is possible to change the controller on the handlebar into the one on a R18 classic, so that I can get an original look.

If you're considering a switch for the Auxiliary Lights and switching to a control tree that has the Auxiliary Light button; wait on that effort, others have had great success in using the existing MODE button - switch to toggle their newly installed Auxiliary Lights ON - OFF.

Seat: maybe consider the Homage seat? It looks pretty cool and I believe it's weather resistant?

Really appreciate it. But Roctane is also rare here.

I have the windscreen holder which I think the bar for the auxiliary lights is included. But I'm not sure if they can be mounted. So I'm looking for an example

Yes, I'm considering if it's possible to replace the control tree of the Roctane with the one of Classic.

Homage seat is really cool, but my wife will surely stop me lol

I have a FE and added the OEM windscreen and front lights. It was pricey. I did the work myself. Had to remove the gas tank. I also replaced the left side light switch (prob not the right term) to activate the front lights. I found some videos online. It wasn't difficult, just take your time.

Seems like it's not difficult but time-consuming
