It will auto nenew at regular price when the introductory offer expires.
Mine actually expires next month so I called to see how much it would be just to have XM radio with no streaming and the gave me another $5.99/month offer for another year.
 
Sirius will go as low as 5.00 a month. I just reactivated 2 of my radios (the r18 and car) total came up to 12.04 a month for the next 2 years with streaming. 6.02 per radio with all fees and royalties. Talk them down or threaten to leave. With all the streaming services out there they are willing to make a deal.
 
Anyone know if the SiriusXM Weather function will work with the Model B or Transcontinental navigation map view; I'm looking for live weather images while riding, without having to use my phone screen?

I'm thinking of subscribing to Sirius, only if I can get live or updated weather images.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated
 
I've had SiriusXM in my car for years and this is the first I've heard of them offering a weather function ... what channel would that be on??
 
There's a Marine and Aviation channel ... I'm not that familiar with satellite radio and the subscription details; I was looking for information, which perhaps would provide realtime weather maps overlayed within the navigation maps inherent on the Model B or TC.

I'll continue to look into this and see if it is possible or not.
 
Agreed.. I spent some time on the Sirius XM site and some time with the settings on the Model B TFT menus; it looks as though, I can only get music channels with an XM subscription.

That said, I do get a traffic layer on my navigation map; ultimately, I'd like to get a weather RADAR layer on the map.

Probably something BMW Connect App would have to implement, similar to the traffic layer?
 
I have lost the Sirius/XM radio option. I took bike to dealer for R18 reverse recall last October. I activated satelite radio for free trial period but cancelled after trial. Got the $5.00 month offer and went to activate radio but only option for radio is FM. Called dealer to inquire if software was updated when reverse recall was performed. They claim no known issues with Sirius. They suggested 'refreshing' signal, how am I supposed to do this if there is no option on TFT for satelite radio?
 
Thank you for the information, I was aware of this. Used to be an option there, no longer available. Only option is FM.

I'll take a look at my bike's TFT menus when I get home later today; it took me a long minute.yesterday, while exploring the weather map layer request..
