So far I have very few complaints regarding the R18 and I expect it to stay that way. But, besides the fact that it has no fuel gauge, I find that the rear brake pedal is too high.

I rarely use the rear brake at all and I would like to place my right foot fully on the foot peg without having to lift my toes upward. As it came new, I had to keep my foot at the outter edge of the foot peg because the brake pedal sat higher than the top of the peg. Adjusting the brake plunger at the master cylinder only changes the pedal height at which the brake begins to build pressure. At rest the pedal has a hard stop that sets it's height and it has no adjustability. For now, I've jammed a piece of rubber hose over the "nub" that serves as the pedal stop. The 3/16" thickness of the hose holds the pedal a bit lower. It's an improvement in comfort, but not a great one. I'll have to work on the situation some more later....20210201_164614 brake lever mod.jpg
