Ok, time for a light hearted-moment...though have an opened mind.
This is what they built for a Batman movie. Sort of looks like a vw motor turn vertical in layout. I always wondered what could have…should have…been with the BMW boxer engine line if only they created the goldwing engine before Honda did.

Menacing - check...well maybe the 1800cc jugs
Exposed - check...HE double tooth picks YES
Brutal - check...if we let the 1800 pistons fly WOT
