Hello from Scotland, UK,


Finally got my r18 classic in manhattan metallic matt paint.

Adjusted the preload and rides much better. 688miles done in a week. Love this bike so far. Waiting for first service already.

I have just added the day rider seat while I wait for service. Hope it makes a difference as the stock was still stiff after rear preload suspension tweak.

Only think bothering me is wind buffeting maybe mephis fork deflectors may fix this? I am 5 ft 8inch and if I put my arm around my chest it quietens down quite a bit.

Thinking of getting the Zard slip ons E5 but not sure if it raises the sound profile ? Anyone have thus as I can't find a proper video online to judge.

FWIW, I have read here that adding the Transcontinental lower deflectors helps quite a bit.
(No personal experience as I ride a Transcontinental)

Not sure I can put transcontinental deflectors on classic without the front fairing. 🤔 they mount to the TC fairing.
 
The Memphis shades do quieten things down a lot (y) I also added a screen deflector and at 70mph with open face lid it’s very comfortable and virtually no wind noise. I listen to music at same volume around town or at motorway speeds..

enjoy ya new ride, my mate has the Manhattan and it’s an awesome colour. :cool:

plenty to choose from. I know I searched for a wide one so you can measure up on OEM screen to make sure it’s wide enough (y)
