Question USB port

I just took delivery in Canada of an r18 b. Manual says there should be a usb port in the phone cradle but doesn’t appear to be one. No way to charge my phone on the bike then?

Congrats on your new bike. The port is on the left hand side, facing backwards.
Word has it that due to vibrations the camera in your phone may get damaged with time. I have never tried charging the phone using the bike, I have a portable battery pack smaller than the phone and can charge the iPhone 15pro 3 times.

Awesome, I will look for that port. Also appreciate the idea about using a charger bank.

Counterpoint (sorry Anibal!): I use the charger on the R18 TC all the time, no problems, Samsung something-or-other phone.

I was using the charger all the time, but constantly taking my iphone out of the otterbox case kept tearing them up so I stopped a few weeks ago after my second case replacement. But I did love that there is a fan in there, kept my phone cool and usable. Due to the heat here in Alabama, most days my phone will overheat when not in the charger.

You need a special 6" C-C cable, preferably with a 90deg turn in one end. I use the charger all the time. The only problem is I leave my phone in the bike, Every Time I get off.

I did get that cable from BMW now so should be good to go! thanks everyone for your replies
