Valve Cover Protection

Hey @Lowflying, this is the vendor I used on eBay, and the size is 45 mm.

So the first ones that I put on my cylinder guards, I accidentally put on slightly crooked and realised this when I took a photo. It was when I got my second set that I realised that they are all covered in a very thin film of protective plastic… which is really hard to peel off. I’m sure that if you checked, you would find that yours have the same and trust me, they look very different without that film on.

I installed the aluminum protectors on the cylinders and the long one for the front of the engine. By the way, those protectors you recommended look amazing!

The only thing I didn't really like are the BMW emblems I bought. Instead of being flat aluminum like the ones you mentioned you put on yours, mine came with clear acrylic and have this 3D concave look that I'm just not feeling.

Do you happen to have the info handy on where you got yours? I think I'm gonna take these off and swap them for the flat aluminum ones like you have.

The reason why they don’t sit flat is because it’s only the outside of the emblem that’s stuck to the covers. Mine are the same and don’t sit completely flat.

I have. ’21 Classic. When I bought it BMW was giving $1000 worth of free accessories with the purchase. I got the Roland Sands billet trim covers for the front engine cover, valve cover, brakes and clutch reservoirs. I had the valve covers and air intake covers powder coated black. I’m glad I didn’t have to pay for the Roland Sands trim but they do look good. Highly recommend if you can stomach the price.
