Valve Stem?

Not a fun Friday.
Took the R18 out and during the ride felt the bike wasnt handling very well.
Im all the way across town and it seems to be getting worse.
I stop to check but it was dark...Front tire seemed ok, forks didnt appear to be leaking, rear looked ok.
I figure I better get the bike home.
By the time I got home and in my garage with light, I can see the rear tire is flat.
No wonder.
Saturday I examine the tire and find a nail in it.
Looked like it had been there awhile. Ok, I pull it out and plug the hole.
Try to fill tire with air but air is seeming to leak out of the valve stem which I thought I had noticed when I tried to fill the tire before pulling the nail out.
Im beginning to think the faulty valve stem is the root of the problem.
I have to get BMW roadside assistance getting the bike to the dealer because the air leaks out so fast I would never make it.

My question is if it turns out to be a bad valve stem would that be covered under warranty to replace the valve stem?

In the UK it would not be covered because the argument will be that the valve got damaged by running a flat tire. Hopefully where you live is different.
Best of luck

No, probably not different at all.
Even though I believe the faulty valve stem actually led to the air running dry.
