Warning message bulb

Hello,
Just picked up my UK '21 plate R18 Clasdice First Edition and noticed warning message for bulb. All the indicators work. Stop light and headlight OK so can only guess it's one or both Auxiliary lights.
I believe I have headlight dipped beam and auxiliary light swith on correctly.
Is there a way to test confirm as I can't see an obvious way to replace auxiliary bulb?

Si vous ne remarquez rien d'anormal, il est fort probable qu'une alerte se soit déclenchée, puis effacée, mais qu'elle reste enregistrée dans la mémoire du système. Il serait judicieux de vérifier le code d'erreur et de l'effacer avant toute intervention. Personnellement, j'utilise l'application « Motoscan » et un adaptateur OBDLink LX ; j'ai réussi à réinitialiser trois voyants d'alerte sans me rendre chez un concessionnaire BMW, et ma moto fonctionne parfaitement !

I agree with the previous poster .. other than that I recommend the GS-911 instead of the OBDLink LX ... but both will do exactly what he said ... reset the fault and maybe even give you a better idea what exactly is wrong ...

To turn on or off the fog lights either side of the headlamp you push the bottom of the “mode” button.
It could also be that the battery charge is low or needs replacing. A faulty battery manifests itself in many ways including spurious fault warnings.
My bike has the original battery that I keep charged if I’m not riding for a week or so. Be warned- I gather that replacing the battery isn’t as easy as it should be.

I was hoping that I could plug my Optomize into the 12 volt power socket but it doesn't seem to charge using that

Replacing battery is an easy process. FLAT BLADE screwdriver underneath to wiggle it out after disconnecting. Original type battery or LiFePo4 for replacement. Optimate brand ( or similar) for keeping battery charged. With my LiFePO4 l haven’t used charger for 18 months - ride 1X per week.

To work in the socket the charger needs to be Canbus compatible. If you have the original croc-clips charging points are on the right side of the bike. Negative post is under the right cylinder and positive is by the right cover under the seat, you should see a red plastic cap that comes off by the frame.

Having never tried it I’ve only gone from previous posts alluding to this. I’ll certainly give it a go when I replace mine which I guess I should do sooner than later as it’s 5 years old.

One thing I will add is to make sure that the side panel is well & truly reattached properly. I speak from experience having lost the right side panel a few years ago having removed it for some reason. Cost me £100, plus the R18 badge, plus getting it painted so probably c£200 in all.

I’m not the only member to have lost a panel so be careful.

I have an Optimate 4 that I plug into the 12v socket to charge the battery. I have to gently twist the plug once it is in the socket whilst watching the display on the charger to see when it’s connected.

I think battery is good as showing 14v on the info data, but something to remember. Thank anyway
