Weather for the Ducks

Hi Gents , Was out yesterday in the lashing rain , noticed my two piece suit is now looking to be changed , mainly as the Velcro tape on the waterproof flap and neck has worn away , any suggestions on the best two piece waterproof suits for our bloody awful weather over here .Cheers .

For a stand alone rain suit I would look at BMW or Harley. I've tried a bunch of options over many years and rather experimenting I've seen both Brands offer quality kit (yes, Harley has a bunch of weekend pirate gear, but also a very complete line of everything serious riders look for).

I now use klim gear and love the flexibility quality gortex outfits offer without having to stop to put on or take off a rain suit or zip in liners, etc. Several good lines of gear with another favorite being Aerostitch. Everything from waxed cotton to the latest man made textiles and for heaviest duty and lowest price point you can count on commercial foul weather gear to come to the rescue, not going to get the snappy dresser of the year award, but simply works.

This last road trip, we got crushed in some non stop heavy rain...

I threw on an ORVIS fly fishing jacket and Helly Hansen H/H waterproof pants over what I was wearing riding, and was dry as a bone when we got back to the hotel..

The ORVIS or SIMMS stuff is really lite weight and works super well, plus I put my helmet over the hood of the jacket in order to prevent water from making its way down my back...

I wear the BMW riding shoe - sneakers, which are also waterproof...
