What considerations when swapping Classic front tire to standard?

I think I prefer the standard front tire look over the classic. What are the considerations need to be looked at? Is it an easy pop on with the new rim and tire? Can I keep the same fender? Will it raise the front? Make it easier or harder in handling? Thx

I made the opposite shift.
For the fat tire look, which I like much better.
I could buy a 16' rim with the spokes, and had it rebuilt. This since BMW doesn't sell the hub.
Straight forward job, as far you find a guy with that skill.
I love the look.
But I discovered other benefits:
- No more hummm noise from the biggest tire. Michelin Marathon.
- Much more comfortable ride.
I won't go back to the 18' rim.
Same fender, same wheel diameter.
The handling might seem lighter with the 18' though. But I don't care.
You should test ride a bike with the 18' before making a decision.20241115_174620.jpg20241204_150345.jpg

You can only buy the complete wheel from BMW.
The Rim/spokes I got, really cheap, came from a guy who made what you plan.
Probably from an after market rim.

Some day I may favor the classic look, but it hasn't happened yet.
Even though it was big bucks, I have the BMW mag rims on my 23 R18 base.

I have the BMW "aero" style wheels. Sort of a mix between gray and silver. Will get a pic tomorrow.
