The 20mm is ride height.... not shock length....
Words would be appreciated....... from manufacturers site: +20...... "Parameters in mm based on vehicle height"
Okay, here's some words.....I must admit that I was somewhat incredulous of your statement about 20mm ride height, I had looked over their site and had missed the fine print over to the side about "vehicle height". Kind of strange that they would use the phrase "vehicle height" instead of "ride height", But there it was. I'm planning on ordering the std. ride height myself, but I'll be eager to see your impression of the shock that you receive.Words would be appreciated....... from manufacturers site: +20...... I suspect the shock to be about 7mm longer then stock.
Actually I did look at it and I asked them for their recommendation for the R18. They recommended their Hyperpro Springs and shocks. I was expecting them to recommend the Wilbers, so I'm not sure how I feel at this point. I am a strong lean to Wilbers based on reputation, However, I think that I'll call and dig into it a little further. Do they make a lot more $ off of their own brand, (probably). But if they end up convincing me that it truly is a better choice, I could go that way.Did anyone buying the Wilber’s look at the Hyperpro/Touratech with / without the compression feature ? What was your reason for choosing the Wilber’s rear shock ( price/ reputation/ quality etc) ?
EPM. They are the Wilbers distributor and I asked them what they recommended and they said Hyperpro. They didn't exactly say over Wilbers, but their answer was Hyperpro.BigAlcam , ’Who’ was it you asked that recommended Hyperpro over Wilber’s ? Thanks, B.
What memphis shade fork mount did you use?I have not seen anything that I like yet to solve the air turbulence issue, so I come up with stuffs that I have lying around in my garage from the other bikes.
I added the windshield air deflector, Memphis shade trimmed and mounts behind the blinkers and purchase the Utopia backrest for distance travel. No more issue at +90mph.
Installed the Roadstyler bag bars on my TC. From what I can tell the instructions they provide are for the Bagger; The TC does not need the extra hardware they provide.
Hi RyBread, It was VN2000 and I sent you those images couple weeks ago. What memphis shade fork mount did you use?
Very cool!!!Hi RyBread, It was VN2000 and I sent you those images couple weeks ago.
I have now replaced it with my home made deflector, no problem with Hwy speed.
Nice work, looks great! Your custom winglets are much smaller than the Memphis. You didn't like the Memphis aesthetically or didn't you perceive any improved air flow from the protection area under the blinkers?I have now replaced it with my home made deflector, no problem with Hwy speed.
Yes, please
maybe add a minimal/artful fork brace to make the fender lugs functional? At 10 paces looks Uber cool but fender on for me. The mounting lugs are still there so it would look like something’s missing, which of course there is
