I’m away this weekend, but next weekend I’m going to find a good location to get good overall pics as well as ‘black bolt’ close ups.
My f&r gear change extended pegs arrive tomorrow. I gave my bike its first wet wash yesterday and it’s now very shiny and magnificent.
Every time that I walk away from it, I look back in amazement how incredible looking this machine is.

While I have always preferred the look of the R18B to the TC, my first test ride of a B included wind in the face.
There was also some updraft turbulence. I have found that fork deflectors are worth their weight in gold. Prior to the deflectors, the updraft was so severe that my 3/4 helmet face shield would not stay down!
 
Hello Hunts, Yes, I removed the fork reflectors on my 2023 Pure. They are held in place with a double-backed strip of adhesive tape. Use dental floss thread to slide under the reflector, and use WD40 or Goop to remove any sticky residue. :)

Here you go, Hunts. That was a chilly trip out to the garage. It's a rare 27 degrees F, freezing cold here in central Texas. We're in the middle of severe winter storm across ⅔ of the country.

Thank you. We are experiencing the opposite as it’s summer in Australia. I live in Western Australia (halfway between Fremantle and Perth) and the summers here, for the most part, are brutal.
I have the same 16L Motoraad bags as you and think they are great. I used a pet blow dryer to get any dust off them and then applied Amoral Protection. I’m then going to apply a Scotchguard spray, unless you know something better.
My gear change f&r extended pegs arrive early next week, so they will be tested next Sunday morning on a ride. I’ll be removing those side reflectors asap, so really appreciate your photo and walking through the blizzard for me.
Your bike is very cool (I thought that you were selling it… glad you didn’t).
 
Thanks, Hunts. Yes, the bike is still up for sale, although there's been little interest in it so far. It's the wrong season to be trying to sell a bike in TX, and BMWs are pretty rare to begin with here in Harley Davidson country. Plus, both the used and new motorcycle sales market are in a serious slump. So, I'm just going to hold on to it for as long as it takes and enjoy it while I can. In the meantime, I've replaced the BMW bags with smaller Viking Patriot bags that I added when I recently installed a Wunderlich tail conversion kit. The BMW bags would not fit with the new side license plate holder. My waxed-cotton BMW saddlebags were beginning to fade and lose their water-resistance after a long trip to eastern Canada in the rain and sun last summer, so I re-dyed them with Rit Dye and applied Nikwax water-proof spray frequently, which made them look good as new.

I’ve taken one of the reflectors off and will do the other tomorrow. Looks much better.
I found these on the Motoraad accessories (Machined Fork Top Cover) which is exactly what I want… there just isn’t a price to be found!!!

The Kellermans are very bright and are dual function to serve as both brake and turn signal lights. I kept my Denali B6 brake light (mounted to the side license plate) to give extra lighting/braking conspicuity, which is wired to a Hex ezCAN controller Finished up by adding 18L Viking Patriot saddlebags that don't interfere with the side license plate. Which ezCan do you use?
 
Emgarciax - I haven't had a chance to try out the new Metzler Cruistecs because of inclement winter weather here in TX, but I'll report back. They sure look sportier than the stock Bridgestones. Ferrett2055 - I used the HEX ezCan II for the K1600 when I installed a Denali brake light, Denali D7 auxiliary lights, and a Denali Soundbomb Mini horn. It provided great and easy flexibility in how you program the lights. I remember there being an earlier thread about this on the forum.

Cover them with these adhésive black reflecting tape.
So you keep the safety function while they become much less noticeable.
Those are 5 years old.

I used fishing line in the same manner as the dental floss method, in order to cleanly remove the fork reflector's adhesive double-sided tape.

I saved the reflectors and purchase 3M double sided tape in the event I have to temporarily reinstall the reflectors for registration purposes..

I've been thinning my Model B down, where I removed the engine protection bars, lower leg wind Protection and recently installed the mini-LED front directionals to offer a cleaner look..

Hair dryer, WD-40…Gone!
In my state in Australia, it’s not law to have them on. I really like the whole clean, black look now.
