I am seriously looking into buying R 18

Today I will rent a R 18 in Atlanta for 3 days.

Which model to buy.

I am not a interstate long distance rider. Mostly cities

Me personally, I own a 2022 First Edition Bagger...

Recommendation: 2021 Used R18 First Edition ($7k - $8k) don't worry about the mileage); delivery it up at my place, you buy that parts and I'll build it up for you...

I just delivered the below bike yesterday.....sad to see that rolling piece of jewelry leave the garage, loved every test ride....

See how you get on with your test ride, after 3 days you should have a good idea whether you are going to get on with the R18 and can actually live with one. They are not everyone’s cup of tea. There’s loads of owner feedback on every model on the forum already so I’d suggest investing some time with the [search] function and a comfy chair.

Buying used or NOS is by far the best value, don’t think many pay full MSRP anymore. Fingers burnt on that one. Re-sale can be difficult especially in America because there are plenty of haters, but those who ‘know’ just ‘know’.

If you ride often much above 60mph on motorways (freeways) I’d suggest the Bagger or TC. The Classic stock windscreen is prone to turbulence (apparently, not tried myself) but the trade off is even more weight.

Short shift and ride the torque, if you rev it out and hold onto gears they vibrate like crazy. You’ll understand when you ride it. Anyway, good luck with it, let us know how you get on.👍

I think it is an amazing bike. I rode around 50 miles yesterday on I-85. It was pure pleasure.
This bike is a poetry in steel.
By the way what do the abbreviations NOS and TC mean.

Thanks for your reply.
