I am somewhat confused with the windscreen issue. Currently I have the T/C screen on my bagger, I think... for wind going over the stock windscreen since I prefer to wear a half shell helmet. I have no issues with the stock B windscreen when I wear my full face helmet so I guess I do not have buffeting?? issues? Am I saying this right? With the T/C windscreen I can sit behind it and look through it so no issues, but the stock B windscreen I look above it and get lots of wind in my face, so what actually is buffeting?

Buffeting isn’t wind hitting your helmet. Buffeting is when the air that hits you is turbulent and causes a shaking of your head as the pressure changes from the vortices. The rocking isn’t always forward and back, it can be side to side or even circular. We try to avoid buffeting because it is exhausting.

If you have clean air, you feel a constant pressure from the air, but no pulsing. This can be good as it gives a steady force to take weight off your wrists and it provides a nice steady flow of air into the vents of your helmet. Because the pressure is steady, there isn’t any exhaustion from fighting the movement.

Some bikes have so much wind protection that you sit in a pocket almost like being in a car. But often this creates a vacuum effect and sucks you closer to the screen. Some bikes put a small hole in the bottom of the windshield to try to even out the pressure.

Buffeting is indeed exhausting. Before getting lowers on my forks, my 3/4 helmet face shield would not stay down. Now I ride in tranquility.

The problem here is are you going to keep the bike ? why fork out a load of cash for a bigger windscreen , remember if and when you part with the bike any add ons will not get your money back , i fitted an MRA extender on my 2022 Classic its clip or drill fit easy to remove and not a lot of cash , also remember a good tip about up draught from a member on this site he fitted memphis shades wind deflectors on the forks which he stated helped quite a lot .
