What did you do to your R18 today?

My bikes arrived at the new house on Friday. Shortly after unloading and leaving (with tip), I learned that my right rear brake/turn signal led wasn't working. Umph. Close inspection revealed the issue.

I presume one of the movers pushed on my delicate Walzwerk rear bobber fender causing it's support to plunge down the attachment bolt and sever 3 of the 4 wires. Like a wee cigar knife*. Ok. Moving on. I borrowed a floor jack from a neighbor and built a wheel chock and under-bike support from some scrap wood.

Rear end up, rear wheel off. Worked like a charm.

and she's back!

Still waiting on all my proper garage items (work bench, shelves, etc), but the bikes are here safe and sound!

I really wish Ducati brought back the Sport Classic. It was far too short a run for such a great bike.

Put on a set of fork deflectors, no more helmet turbulence. I did cut a bit of rubber rim strip to go under each mounting bracket to protect the forks. Got the parts from Dennis Kirk and thank you goes to user here clivescott who did this first and listed the Memphis Shades part numbers that fit the R18!

Where did you get them? I'd like to pick up this same set. Thanks!

NVM - I see that you recommended Dennis Kirk. I just ordered mine directly from Memphis Shades. Thanks guys!

Back home earlier than expected as we are now confined in France with a 10 km limitation around our house.

I installed the BMW R18 frame bag, smaller than expected but enough to keep some stuff on the bike such as disc lock and sunglasses, and the insurance sticker holder (thanks to @Gerard)

Did 1.5h ride within the authorized perimeter, I'm fortunate to live in a nice place with plenty of narrow country roads and points of interest.

Here is the Chateau d'Essalois in the Gorges de la Loire which I can see from my house

Damn this is Just GORGEOUS ! ! !

I installed some driving lights from SuperBrightLEDS.com. Unfortunately these are no longer available but I had some extras. They are rated at 7W & 700 lumens each. The current drain is 520 MA ea.The brackets are Kuryakyn and fit the 38mm DK Design crash bar. Power is supplied from the connector under the left side cover. Let there be light!

Installed this Fuel cap.Not bad.I ordered this from aliexpress, less than $60 shipped.Notice the tiny set screws in the opening. The cap is actually 2 pieces.I recommend loosening the set screws a little then screwing the inner portion off. Then install into the tank.Next install the lid portion. It screws into the inner ring.I also had the guy send me 2 extra rubber gaskets to ensure fitment with the tank bag center leather strip. I got this becasue the arthritis in my hands makes getting the heavy locking hard to grip when taking the cap off. I accidentally dropped the oem cap and bounced it off the tank.So I will be getting the BMW small tank bag to cover the slight ding in the tank.I know,I know.Makes me crazy that happened but,I don't have $3000 for a new painted tank.I also had a dent Dr look at it and he said the inside of the tank filler makes it impossible to to do a ding repair.
Again, just providing information. Not trying to sell anything.
So Sorry about the tank ding... You have a gorgeous bike...
