What did you do to your R18 today?

Hit the Hazards and hold down phone camera button... You'll get at least one shot with them illuminated...

How's the low profile windscreen, looks great...!!
Not ridden since making these changes, fingers crossed I’ll be able to get out on it tomorrow even if it’s not for long.

I’m hoping for good things though, I didn’t want a huge screen and no air, I just want clean air to reduce the buffeting.

I will try and get a pic/ video of the indicators in action tomorrow as well 👍🏻

Are you adding the fairing wind deflectors? North East should warm up a little, hopefully you'll get out and test the windscreen..

Potentially, not entirely sold on the look of them on a bagger but the indicators mean they’ll fit without interference should I decide to.

I’m south east UK 👍🏻 tomorrow is meant to be dry but we’ll see. I’m looking forward to testing the screen.

Okay so 2 weeks into ownership I have installed the SW Motech saddlebags and weekender seat. I will have to say that not much information is found in detail online about the seats.... so if any questions I just came from comparing all 3 at the dealer.
Loving the look of the bags, how do you like them and is there a way to get them for less than $999 retail? Why did you select the weekender seat to get?

Managed to get out this afternoon, albeit briefly. Huge improvement with the lower screen for me. It’s almost like being back on my R18 but without the wind hitting my torso. No buffeting, just clean air hitting my helmet which I’m fine with. Tried up to 50mph with my visor wide open which I couldn’t do with the standard bagger windscreen and an even bigger improvement on the motorway. Love the look of it too.

I got them for the $999 but honestly worth every penny. I feel like I can be more comfortable with things. I got the weekender seat mostly cause the wife wanted something comfortable. When I did the first ride…. Boy there was a smile from one side to the other on my face. The seat is so much more comfortable without the large cross country version design. I feel like its right in the middle of comfort and design. I love having the little ledge for my back to really saddle me in.

Okay it didn't happen the same day since I needed longer bolts. However it is finally complete and now testing time. Would appreciate the opinions.IMG_1913.jpegIMG_1914.jpegIMG_1915.jpegIMG_1916.jpeg

is it the way that last photo was shot does it appear to lean too far back to be useful to a passenger as back support?
Yea, it is further back then I would expect too… my wife is small too so that doesn't help. She only rides with me when I insist, its mostly my personal transportation so it will do. I do like how it fits the lines a bit and is not just strait up. Im getting my shop logo installed on the back of the rest next week hopefully.

Today I removed the OEM mirrors in favour of some Arlen Ness mini ovals. Having changed the screen, I wanted to streamline the front profile to suit.

I was almost certain I was going to go for bar end Rizoma mirrors but when I rode last week to test the screen, I figured I wouldn’t actually be able to see anything in them looking at where my arms were in relation to the bar end. I had these mirrors on my HD Breakout and although they’re small, they have a convex lens and once you adjust to them, you can see plenty and no vibration. I expect they’ll perform the same on the R18B.

I’m still debating adding pipes and have been looking at all the options but figured I’d try deleting the exhaust servos first as a cheap solution. Haven’t ridden it yet but initial impression was there’s a deeper rumble at idle.

Cleaned her up and will ride 400+ miles without leaving the state of Arizona.

Looks Clean... (Reflector Removal) I'm sure everyone will be interested in the outcome of the Exhaust Servo Delete
