What did you do to your R18 today?

Well, I cleaned my R18 today.... and tried to explain to the wife how cleaning and polishing the a motorbike is hard work, not like cleaning the house. I also decided, maybe, that it is my favoirite bike of my life.

It's a maybe, because as a 21yo this one was quite epic at the time.

Well done and well said. I hope she appreciates your efforts explaining the process and rewards you with a nice roast dinner and a glass of red or a couple of cold beers.
That Suzuki indeed is epic. I love Suzukis in any case.

Maybe the next time you're out picking up cleaning supplies for your bike, maybe get an attorney on retainer.... Or perhaps don't compare the house work with the bike.. 😂

This is coming from a humble man who is unlikely to be divorced and likely to even share a little house work with a good woman😄. I love my R18 w the manly motor and a 1933 Ford w blown motor and if I keep my lovely wife smiling, maybe I’ll get a 1987 Porsche to tinker with😁🥃

This week ........ new Avon Cobra Chromes and the difference is night and day when I took it in the pouring rain today for its running in service.

Service ... £197.50 (10% winter discount) and they did the rear axle oil

The Cobras are on my list as soon as I wear out the Michelin

I am interested on the Avon Cobra Chrome 200/60VR-16 Radial. What are the specs on your rear tire? The standard tire for the R18 rear stock rim is 180/55B-16. I am aware that you shouldn’t mix radial and bias tires. Would it be safe to change from 180 to 200 tire on the R18 stock mag wheel? The 200/60 should provide the same height as the 180/55.

Actually if you look in the Rider's Manual it states 'R' (Radial) for the front and 'B' (Bias) for the back ... at least for the 'FE' Model ... blew me away too, I was under the impression that should not be done.

I’ll be damned😄. I just checked and my 22 R18 front is radial and the rear is bias! I should be ok with the 200/60VR-16. I’ll confirm w Avon if it is safe to change from 180 to 200 on the same stock mag wheel. Thank you Mr Ulrich!

You are so welcome ... a small side note the /60 tire will be just a tad taller than the /55 tire .. which means your speedometer will be much closer to 'spot on' then what it is now
Let us know how that goes .. I may go the same direction as soon as I wasted the Michelin brick that is on there now
