There's 70 or so photos at cycletrader.
Here's the description:
Low mileage 2021 First Edition with tasteful (and entirely reversible) modifications including WalzWerks bobber kit (adjustable saddle, rear fender, tail lights), WalzWerks headlamp lowering kit, and LMC black cylinder covers and matching oil cooler. So much better looking than the OEM oil cooler. That's over $6K in modifications. I also added a tool box from a 1969 Moto Guzzi Ambassador (original black paint/pinstripe/patina, a louder horn, a stubby Biltwell rear view mirror, a side license plate mount, and LV SHTUPP engine badges (for Lily Von Shtupp, the Bavarian Bombshell in Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles.) Love me some Madeline Kahn.
Anyway, it's kept in a heated/insulated garage, started monthly, and the oil has been changed yearly. No mechanical issues. Brand new OEM battery March 2025. No bridges were burnt with the modifications, no wires severed, and all of the original oem parts convey with the sale, so it can converted back to stock---as much or as little---as desired.
Known Issues: 1) paint chip on the right side of the gas tank. I touched it up but it could be done better. See photo. 2) there's a recall to add a relay for the reverse gear. I just got the letter from BMW last week announcing that solution. I've never had a whiff of trouble with reverse but intend to have the recall done in the coming weeks. A new owner could do the same. 3) the WalzWerks tail end causes an electrical error light at the dash which goes away immediately when you ride. It's a nuisance and I just can't figure out how to fix it. 4) the mufflers are polarizing. I love 'em. They're curvaceous and dead-sexy, especially when viewed from the back. But many people can't stand them, which is fine, there are plenty after-market options available.
Also included with the sale is the Wheel Dock stand, an oil change wrench, and the First Edition box/book/stuff. Clean title, etc. I don't ride anymore and don't intend to allow any local test rides, so you can expect the mileage to sit at or near 2856.
Thank you for looking. It a ton of bike for a reasonable amount of money and will last decades. I'm happy to answer any questions or provide additional photos if needed.
* To this forum and it's members: it's been terrific and I deeply apppreciate the help and community over the years. I haven't ridden my R18, or any of my bikes, since, man, 2023? It's time to move on. I'm open to a little haggling for y'all.
