Took advantage of the Roland Sands discounted parts. Picked up a couple of things to go with the valve covers already on the bike :-)View attachment 20566

Fleabag, excellent haul! Are those reservoir covers (77 12 2 469 269) the machined aluminum black with the unfinished ('silver') aluminum ridges, similar to the RSD ones? Or are they the completely black covers? The "two-tone" description is throwing me. Did they come as a pair or single? Thanks

Foot boards are nice, take a little bit of getting used to but I find them way more comfortable than pegs.

Nice, you going to install the engine cover yourself? If so, make sure to read the posts about it on here--was very helpful for me.

That Two-Toned description threw me as well which is why I ordered the wrong parts on a couple of items. I realized after opening the boxes that both the mirror set and the clutch/brake set is the wrong “color” These are totally black and I wanted the black/brushed colors. I did happen to buy the correct rear brake covers in black/brushed “Machined”

Unfortunately, the clutch/brake in blacked/brushed is no longer available.
The key word in the description is “Machined”
The correct part number for the Clutch/Brake covers in Black/brushed is 77122469270 …269 is black/black
I was able to find the correct mirror set, it’s part # 77222469369

I’m going to do it myself, I did see those posts. Thanks

Thanks, Fleabag. When I saw your post I thought maybe you had unlocked the magic portal! My aplogies for the following long post but BMW has pissed me off on this issue.
I fought, er, worked with BMW since May 2025 about these machined black/brushed reservoir covers. That's when I had the Reverse Recall installed and these parts ordered for the compensation deal.
In January of this year (2026) they finally told me they can't find any in the system: too bad, the comp period has expired, no other comp offered, tough shit.
They sent me the rear reservoir cover and claimed that is what I ordered. I showed the dealer the parts invoice & the email thread from April through December and the new parts guy tried to tell me I was wrong! Pissed me off as I have, up until now, been very impressed with this dealer. I miss the old parts guy, he was a no-bullshit dude.
It's really not about the parts but about the fact BMW made a contractual promise and, probably because of cost concerns & poor management, failed to fulfill that promise. I've been ridi g and enjoying BMW bikes for 29+ years, I certainly hope this isn't the future of BMW's business ethic.

Good haul there. A lot of the RSD stuff (and the ‘machined’ bits and pieces in particular) are becoming as rare as rocking horse sh*t.
The revised pricing of a lot of the stuff just goes to show how ridiculous the original prices were.
Get ‘em while you can folks. When they’re gone - they’re gone.

My dealer is offering huge discounts off the last of the ‘18s, but nothing off parts/accessories at all.

great discount on the brown fastback seat. I got one a week ago and installed it on my bike also. more comfy than stock for the main rider for sure. I rode for a little while and my cheeks did not go numb while with the stock seat I start to feel the pain... worth the 150 for a mustang seat thats branded BMW and RSD.
I guess it goes to show you that RSD probably designed it, Mustang made it and BMW sells it... also why parts are so darn expensive when no discount.

I just had my OEM seat reupholstered in the areas I needed and then recovered as I didn’t see the sense in so much white stitching being on a seat that’s exposed to the elements… cost me $450aud.
My dealership in Western Australia is discounting nothing!!!

Been watching this thread, with interest, I’ve literally just bought a genuine new RSD engine front cover (pic below) at -50% discount (from EUROPE MOTO Germany including postage to England). We have to be wary now of Import Taxes and the threshold is approx £140 so as long as it’s below that it’s all good. No sting in the tail.

Total price £127 delivered. Very happy with that. Should arrive early April.
