Of course trading it in you're gonna take a big hit. Dealers buy *used* bikes at wholesale prices, and sell at retail used prices. Car dealers do the same, as do musical instrument dealers. Suggest you sell it outright..but bare in mine new models are being heavily discounted. Additionally...
I just went ahead and put two new Cruisetecs on the bike... OUTSTANDING...way better then those awful C3s were. I wouldn't mix them personally....not worth the few dollars for safety and ride characteristics! You only have two wheels!
I've done the same and the results are excellent. Night and day diff over stock... especially running high grade, 93octane fuel. At 7400mi it just keeps getting better. I noted around 5k when it really started building more power, smoother, better fuel mileage...and of course the sound...
Finally, deep sixed those awful Michelin Commander 3s...and installed some Metzler Cruisetecs....HUGE upgrade! Just breaking them in and they're already far, far better then them slippery ass C3s... Just look at how beefy they look!
Okay, like I have about 7500 miles on my 21' R18C. Absolutely love the bike, breaking in very nicely, and building more power with every ride... Thought I would never like it more then my 2 generation, 6 cylinder Honda Valkyrie 1800, but I am. The Honda is faster and smoother...more torque...
As was suspected from the beginning. The dealer should have caught this! I have C3s on my bike, and I don't like them. About 7500mi on my bike...They're slippery...and the front tire has a low spot ..although I have no wobble.
Well the manual wants you to use 70-80w full synthetic gear oil. There is a few other specs that is listed, but you would have to read the manual to be sure. I am still using the BMW oil in the trans that it came with...as the bike has 7k. But at 12k I will change it per the manual. You can...
