Our Yearly Pilgrimage to the Homeland! - Newfoundland and Labrador Canada

Just back from my annual pilgrimage to Newfoundland and Labrador. First time with the R18B, and yes, our bikes rarely pass by a bakery. First time strapping B into a Ferry. From a Food Perspective, here are the places we visited: Marine Atlantic Buffet (North Sydney to Argentia) : (OMF of...

    Battery Trickle Charger

My Optimate 4 With DIN connector, you have to flip it to CanBus Mode, pretty simple, works like a charm on both, Fairing, or by the Reverse Lever. Removing the Battery on a R18B, is not for the faint at heart, and the engineer who designed it, well, there’s a special place in hell for him or her.

Fun with Helmet Comms (Bluetooth and Mesh)

Spent some time setting up my new helmet(Shoei GT-Air2) for this years season, and wanted to share my Sena 50R with a colleague, so we could mesh, and communicate with another friend who has a cardo. So, easy to do, essentially Meshing a 50R and SRL2-Mesh(Shoei) via Mesh channel 1, and bridging...

    Goobie - Nova Scotia - 2022 R18B

Just around the placement of your ankle relative to the shifter. I had a Touratech shifter on my GS, and a very active foot when shift, moving around the peg. With Floorboards, I had to learn to be a little more quiet with my feet. Once I learned the best and more ergonomic location, it...

Navigation on the Bagger & TC Models

I was really hoping with the USB connection in the Phone compartment, that it would bypass WIFI, and be direct connected to the TFT, thus the WIFI networking wouldn’t be required. But alas, it’s just a charging port. :-( Saving your routes, is not difficult, although bringing them up through...

Good evening, Well, I gone and done it. I purchase my first ever Cruiser.. Moved from a F850GS to the new R18B.. Bit of a nerd, so The Display, Cruise Control, Sat Radio, and the Marshalls, well it had me. I was indeed worried a little about the weight, but after putting 1100 KM’s on...
