It will be slightly louder at idle basically. Not a lot, those valves are closed at idle and open progressively with throttle opening. You will hardly notice a difference. If you want to try without the servo buddies you can disconnect the cables. To do this you pull the covers exposing them...

This is where I'm at also. The recall was done but dealer dragging feet on compensation. Said will get back with me once they figure it out

You can polish them yourself if so desired. Really not too difficult wet sand with fine grade. I start with 400 then switch to 800 and metal polish to finish. I like a polish called white diamonds but simi chrome and others will also work.
