It won't knock but it will not perform either. They electronically retard the timing if knock or ping detected. I always use the best fuel available also non-ethonal fuels.

Which ride mode are you in? The rock mode has a lope in the idle, the roll mode idles smoother but slight delay on throttle response for fuel mileage.

harrisrc740 the 18 is so slow that it's much safer as they can hear you before your on them. That 16bagger liked 80 plus mph. that's why I no longer own it.
