Noticed oil on floor under bike. Yikes! Bad surprise. Was dripping from shifter to the floor. Initially figured it would be the shifter seal but looking closer, that is not where the shifter linkage enters the engine case. Appears oil is dripping from the left intake snorkel (see pic) down...
Update - Good surprises are rare on a salvage project. I found the fob tossed in with a bunch of other junk in the saddle bag. Replaced bike battery, topped of oil, and bike started without hesitation. Still need to see dealer to get plastic key. Will update accordingly.
Does anyone know the type/size of the small screw that holds the left and right switchgear in place? My old eyes cannot see it given the awkward position. Best to you.
Replaced battery, topped of oil. She started right up. I've got an 1250RT, and the startup shake of the R18 still scared me. Someone should have warned me :). Was a little surprised it started with no speedometer. Good surprises are rare with a salvage bike.
I need to remove the right...

Project bike. Looking for a used speedometer / instrument cluster for '21 R18 Classic before I spend $1,000 USD on a new one. All leads and options appreciated. Best to you.

1st problem - No fob or plastic key. How much trouble am I in and what is my best course of action?
Thank you.
