No just disconnect the battery cable running from the battery to the terminal under the RH side cover. That will disconnect the battery from the system.

It is fairly easy to do if you simply disconnect the battery cable under the RH side cover on the terminal post. You do not have to disconnect on the battery itself.

I would try disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes and then reconnect it and see if it goes away.

You should buy a factory GIVI mounting plate for the GIVI box as the givi top case will engage directly into the mount and snap and lock in place.

Yes you will but you will not see a DME error only the coil error. This is how you diagnose the same error on a K1600 6 cylinder. Disconnect all coils and plug each one in at a time until the DME Fuse error occurs.

Also disconnect all the ignition coils. Clear the codes and then plug each coil in and see if one sets the error code. This will determine which ignition coil may be setting the code. The same thing can be done with the fuel injectors.
