No intention to offend, it's just a "quirk" of the CANBUS so didn't want to overlook the few basic items that impact getting juice.

Did you turn the bike on or just plug it in? It is not "hot" like an outlet hardwired to your battery. Also if that doesn't "wake up" the CANBUS, check to see if the fuse is good and the connector for the power outlet is fully seated. Should be a "simple" fix.
