Thanks. Most advice that I saw online said to place the straps as high as possible, but there is no high place on the back of an R18.

Has anyone trailered their R18 Classic? What is best place to tie it down?

Got the 21" Clearview. I am 6'2" and do not have buffeting. However, I get a lot of wind from below that creates noise in my helmet. Have also installed wind deflectors from Memphis Shades which helps but still too much wind from below.

Interesting that they put different brands on the same model. How many miles do you have on your tires?

Just went in for my 6,000 mile service and state inspection and was told that my tires didn't pass. My R18 has Bridgestone tires. After researching the ones available, I narrowed it down to either the Michelin Commander 3 or Metzeler ME888. Decided to go with the Michelin this time. Hopefully...

If they counted it down and were slightly off. you'd be upset with them for running out of gas. By counting up they put the onus on you to make the decision of how far to push it.

I ordered the parts that you listed, but the mount is too small to go around the forks.

I had the heel-toe shifter put on with the running boards so they took off the original shifter. They also said that the kick stand had to be replaced. With taking off the floorboards and putting on pegs, you probably don't have to change either of those. Since I have no use for any of these...

Here are the parts that I got back from the dealer when the floorboards were installed on my R18. There were 108 miles on the bike when these were removed. Let me know if you would like to buy any or all of these parts.

Do the aux running lights help you see better or be seen better?

The auxiliary power ports are only on when the key is on, so splicing into one of the wires going to a port should work.
